The community center also offers a paved walking track, tennis courts or a basketball court
A night of Remembrance was held on June 10th at the Community Center to honor those who has passed away recently.
It was a special night and we will miss them all.
They have all had such a great impact on the history of our Community Center.

Military Memorial Wall
Each year we have empty seats of those who are no longer with us and in years past we honored them with white ribbons placed on the seats where they normally sat. On the first night of the season each of the seats had a large white bow where we would have found our friends and neighbors each week... these folks have been a part of the community for many years and they will be greatly missed... we honor them with this small measure but we will miss them each week !
Maruice Butler, Sr lifelong resident of Transylvania County passed away on Feb 2, 2018
Inez Owen passed away on April 1, 2018 Inez had owned and operated the North Toxaway Restaurant & Grocery
Cornelia Stewart passed away on March 24, 2018 was a member of Mt. Moriah Calvert Baptist Church
James T. Wilson , JT passed on April 14, 2018 and was honored in a special way , Chris Craft had his white hat at Friday April 27th
C. Randall Waldrop Randall passed away on January 4, 2020 missed by so many in the community.
Please take time at your next visit to the Lake Toxaway Community Center to review the permanent display honoring the many members of our community who have served in the Armed Forces. The wall reflects the great sacrifice these many men and women have made and who proudly represent Transylvania County.

Lake Toxaway Community Center
In light of the aftermath of the devastating hurricane
Lake Toxaway Community Center was used as a collection center for Upper Transylvania
Our citizens donated new and lightly used goods that were packed up and delivered to Kelly, North Carolina
We worked with our multiple churches in the area....
Our community center got the entire community involved in the relief efforts.
Thanks to so many people in the Lake Toxaway Community
we were able to deliver on Saturday October 27th:
OVER 270 Boxes of Supplies
$ 5,100 in cash and GIFT CARDS
to
Centerville Baptist Church and
the people of Kelly, North Carolina

Every Friday night during the Spring, Summer & into the Fall for many years
The Lake Toxaway Community Center has long since been a place
for family and friends to gather and enjoy dinner & great music
Our dinners begin at 6:00 Music starts at 7:00 until 9:00 p.m.
We appreciate all who volunteer !
