The GREAT People of the Lake Toxaway Community Center:
In light of the aftermath of a devastating hurricane
Lake Toxaway Community Center was used as a collection center for Upper Transylvania
Our citizens donated new and lightly used goods that were packed up and delivered to Kelly, North Carolina
We worked with our multiple churches in the area....
Our community center got the entire community involved in the relief efforts.
Thanks to so many people in the Lake Toxaway Community
we were able to deliver on Saturday October 27th 2018:
OVER 270 Boxes of Supplies
$ 5,100 in cash and GIFT CARDS
to
Centerville Baptist Church and
the people of Kelly, North Carolina
a small town less than 1 mile from the Cape Fear River

Inez Owen passed away on April 1, 2018 Inez had owned and operated the North Toxaway Restaurant & Grocery
Cornelia Stewart passed away on March 24, 2018 was a member of Mt. Moriah Calvert Baptist Church
James T. Wilson , JT passed on April 14, 2018 and was honored in a special way , Chris Craft had his white hat at Friday April 27th
C. Randall Waldrop Randall passed away on January 4, 2020 missed by so many in the community.

Please take time at your next visit to the Lake Toxaway Community Center to review the permanent display honoring the many members of our community who have served in the Armed Forces. The wall reflects the great sacrifice these many men and women have made and who proudly represent Transylvania County.
The community center also offers a paved walking track, tennis courts or a basketball court

Every Friday night from May through August a tasty homecooked meal is served !
The Second and Fourth Fridays we have a Jam Session in addition to our homecooked meal !
The Lake Toxaway Community Center has long since been a place
for family and friends to gather and enjoy dinner & great music
Our dinners start serving at 5:00
When we have our Music it starts at 7:00 and Everyone is welcome to play or sing until 9:00 p.m.
